Job Description


Job Summary

This position is responsible for the forecasting and scheduling of short term aircraft maintenance requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • 24/7 monitoring of the maintenance forecast for short term planning tasks and issue work orders as required
  • Utilize N-OC scheduling software to assign maintenance tasks to applicable base maintenance stations
  • Provide continual oversight of the operational schedule and coordinate with SOCC and MOC for aircraft swaps/repositioning that will affect the planned maintenance requirements
  • Ensure effective interdepartmental communication for maintenance to protect day of operations schedule
  • Oversee nightly maintenance base work packs to ensure scheduled maintenance coincides with station capabilities including parts, tooling and manpower
  • Work closely with MOC to help schedule deferred maintenance items
  • Review any non-planned tasks raised for time constraints, part availability and skill sets and co-ordinate with the planning team to complete the work when possible
  • Resolve planning queries from maintenance personnel including manual references, skill set requirements, task understanding, deferral allowance of tasks
  • Work with maintenance software administrators and engineering to solve errors and omissions such as part effectivity and task discrepancies
  • Actively participate in the Operations and MOC daily calls

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling or related activities within the aviation industry
  • AME license, Technical diploma or relevant post-secondary education in aviation maintenance or a related technical field is an asset
  • Possess a detailed understanding with respect to aircraft regulatory requirements
  • Display a sound understanding of aircraft documentation, technical records and aircraft scheduling
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to perform in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment considered an asset
  • Technical diploma or relevant post-secondary education in aviation maintenance or a related technical field considered an asset
