As we strive for excellence, we are seeking a talented and driven individual to join us as an Operational Excellence Lead.Reporting to the Director, Business Transformation, the Operational Excellence Lead will spearhead the development and implementation of Corporate Services (CS)\' operational excellence programs. This position is pivotal in refining our Operational Excellence framework and optimizing processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.Embracing AGLC\'s values of Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, Innovation and Inclusion, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing CS operational excellence programs to foster a culture of continuous improvement within our organization.
  • Leading and overseeing the implementation of key, complex, cross-branch and/or cross-division processes that have high strategic importance, ensuring impactful solutions are successful long-term.
  • Creating credible, trusting relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and managing resistance to change by facilitating transitions and ensuring successful adoption of new processes within the organization.
  • Utilizing Lean/Six Sigma principles to identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction and efficiency enhancement across all operational functions.
  • Strategically aligning process innovations with the organization\'s vision and strategy to foster a dynamic environment primed for growth, adaptability and sustained success.
Success in this role hinges on your strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork, negotiating solutions and garnering support for process improvement initiatives. With a continuous improvement mindset, you will be able to identify problems, develop innovative solutions and implement effective strategies to address them.SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, business process, systems development and modelling is required. This should include 2 years of experience working in a consulting, leadership, or project management role.
  • Quality improvement certification/designations such as Lean, Six Sigma (equivalencies will be considered) is also required.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office M365 applications.
The following qualifications are considered an asset:
  • Business Analysis certification from a recognized institution
  • Experience working with Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certificate in Change Management
