SUMMARY:
The Operations clerk will be responsible for assisting in the dispatch area, including answering phones, imaging paperwork, manifesting and other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to e-mails and answer phone calls in dispatch
Manifest all outbound trips and prepare paperwork.
Enter shipping information into outbound data base.
Image bills of lading and other relevant documents.
Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations.
Where necessary, assist in the compilation and transcription of data for various reports.
Where necessary, assist with administrative and customer service functions
Other functions as deemed fit and necessary at manager's discretion
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Intermediate working knowledge of AS 400, Microsoft Excel and Access is required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
Well organized and strong attention to detail is required
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to changing priorities
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Willingness to assist others and go the extra mile
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items
Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team
Strong customer service orientation
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
High school diploma or GED
1 year of direct work experience in an operational clerk role.
Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
General mathematical skills
Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form

Pay: $41,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
