Position Description:
The Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University is recruiting for an open-rank tenure-track faculty member who will be expected to make a major contribution to teaching, research, and administrative leadership in the Faculty\xe2\x80\x99s mission of excellence in the practice of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI). The position comprises two main roles: faculty member and Director of EDI for the Faculty of Management. Candidates from all areas of management (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, Strategy and Organizations) and related disciplines (psychology, sociology, economics) will be considered. The start date for the position is flexible.

Job Duties:
As a faculty member, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an outstanding program of high-quality research and to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels emphasizing EDI principles.

As EDI Director, the appointee\xe2\x80\x99s role will be to articulate the Faculty\xe2\x80\x99s EDI goals, develop an action plan, lead initiatives, and develop measures for the achievement of the which states: \xe2\x80\x9cOur EDI commitment must also be inspired by the recognition that excellence is fostered by bringing together individuals and groups of diverse experiences, identities and ideas.\xe2\x80\x9d

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Applicants should either be tenured professors or have a record of teaching, research, and service that is tracking toward a successful tenure application in any field of management (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behaviour, Strategy and Organizations) or a related discipline (economics, sociology, psychology).

In addition, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of promoting an equitable, diverse and inclusive academic environment for students, staff and faculty through pedagogy, research, and administration.

McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing; but knowledge of French or a willingness to learn French is desirable.
