Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified
English and Social Science Teacher
to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate isOCT certified
, hasrelevant Canadian high school teaching experience
, and is dedicated to creating a dynamic, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for a diverse student population.Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons for English and Social Science courses (Grades 9-12) Develop lesson plans in accordance with Ontario curriculum guidelines Assess student performance and provide regular feedback and support Maintain accurate and timely records of student achievement Foster a positive classroom environment that supports academic growth and student well-being Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions
Qualifications:
Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) - Required
Canadian high school teaching experience - Required
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field (Master's an asset) Strong classroom management and communication skills Experience working with international students is an asset Flexible, collaborative, and culturally responsive teaching styleSalary:
Starting at $45 an hour, 110 hours per subject.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
