Role Overview:

Product Manager \xe2\x80\x93 OnStar Business Solutions (OBS) is responsible for leading product strategy and execution for Canada across 6 value streams including Subscription Management, Customer Acquisition, Fleet Management, Data Services, Safety & Security, and Global Innovation within Fleet and Business Solutions Line of Business. These products provide third-party partners and fleet and business customers with the tools to protect their assets and enhance operations by overseeing vehicle health, location, driver efficiency, energy usage, and more. This person must possess a strong technical proficiency to craft intricate solutions across value streams and drive clarity from ambiguity.

Moreover, the Product Manager will work cross-functionally with teams including IT/development, user experience, engineering, finance, purchasing, operations, sales and marketing throughout the products\xe2\x80\x99 lifecycle. They will be the primary voice for Canadian requirements on the Global product and program teams and be responsible for developing revenue producing relationships with innovative international and local partners. This role will report to the Head of Digital Product, OnStar Canada.

What You\'ll Do

Develop and execute business plans to localize and launch connected vehicle services, features and customer experiences in the Canadian market

Support solution development efforts that best address customer needs; taking into consideration the unique Canadian landscape including Quebec French customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs

Lead a portfolio of in-vehicle and digital connected service offerings on behalf of Canada from concept through development and go-to-market strategy and readiness for customers, dealers, and field teams

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in the U.S. and Canada to address Canadian localization needs

Manage timelines to identify major deliverables and dependencies across functions and drive cross-functional alignment to deliver requirements on time and with quality

Establish and manage relationships with suppliers/merchant partners and develop Statement of Work (SOW)

Develop and recommend opportunities to drive continuous improvement of business performance

Work with GM Legal staff to identify and address Canadian specific legal and regulatory requirements; e.g. terms & conditions, privacy, data sharing, consumer protection laws, etc.

Collaborate with GM Legal Counsel to execute commercial agreements with existing or new partners to enable new and/or improved consumer experiences

Become subject matter expert for connected vehicle technology and services, including competitive landscape

Support development and review of global connected services content, assets and training material

Additional

Your Skills & Abilities

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business combined with business acumen/technical aptitude

Product and/or project management expertise especially on large, cross-functional strategic initiatives with proven ability to successfully launch a program on time, within budget and deliver expected business results

Understanding of connected technology and telematics, direct experience preferred

Relevant hands-on experience in product management

Experience with software product development and lifecycles, including agile methodologies

Genuine understanding and care for customer needs, coupled with a dedication to deeply explore the issues they encounter

Prior experience in incorporating Human-Centered Design Thinking approaches in product design

Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.

Strong experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment and holding business team accountable for deliverables

Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience working with connected vehicle technology, telematics, IoT, in-vehicle and mobile apps

Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment without extensive supervision

Fleet services/fleet management industry experience or knowledge

B2B/commercial business development experience a plus
