PRA's research team is looking to hire people to help them with an observational study in locations around southern Manitoba for a position. The work is part of a research study that our company is undertaking with two components:
1) An observational study at local high schools to monitor seatbelt usage of students.
2) An observational study in rural communities to monitor mobile device usage of motorists at intersections.
The observations will take place over 4 weeks:
1) September 22 - 26
2) September 29 - October 2 OR October 6 - 10
3) October 13 - 17
4) November 3 - 7
Research observers can expect to work 2 - 4 shifts each of these weeks, with shifts approximately 6 hours each (~1.5 hours for high school observation and ~4 hours for community observation with a paid half hour break in between).
The communities observed will include Gladstone, Portage la Prairie, Teulon, and Oakbank. The position pays $25 per hour as well as a per-kilometre fee when travelling to locations outside of your home town/city. Since research observers will be working in pairs, applicants are welcome to apply as teams of two.
