On Site Medical Rep

Job Description

Our client is a fortune 500 company looking for a Medical Representative who will provide functions such as: First Aid to injured or ill employees and proactively analyze tasks for potential safety issues.

Hamilton, ON


Start Date

: August 2025


Duration

: 2 Months- possibility of extension


Schedule

: 4 days/ week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. 7 AM - 5:30PM


Job Responsibilities




Provide triage, first-and and or referral to outside medical provider, if indicated Maintain all records of treatment given to associates. Maintain first-aid kits, inventory supplies, restock and clean equipment used in the treatment of associates. Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and senior leadership team. Provide analysis of all onsite incidents on a monthly basis including recommendations on how to reduce the risk and severity of injuries Frequent "floor time" to interact with both associates and managers. Attend and speak at meetings. Initiate and maintain Worker's Compensation cases when applicable. Update the communication board with medical and safety tips Attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting all new hires for the site, either within a group setting at New Hire Orientation or through one-on-one interaction. participate, as needed, in incident investigations and weekly case management review meetings.

Qualifications




Valid EMT, PCP, RN, or RPN credentials in the Province you would be practicing in Must have a valid Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (Canadian Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (Canadian Red Cross) Ability to communicate safety needs at all levels of the organization Strong analytical skills: analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2 + years of experience as a full time EMT/RN/RPN responding to emergency calls

PREFERRED SKILLS


Certified to teach First-Aid, CPR and AED Bachelor's Degree Experience leading and managing a team Experience with OSHA regulations Experience with Worker's Compensation
