Our Construction group is now looking for a temporary Onshore Commissioning Advisor to support offshore planning in St. John\'s, NL.

What will you be doing?

• Demonstrating leadership by implementing Aker Solutions Leadership Principles in the project organization and set clear expectations and give feedback to project personnel.
• Approving of project documentation including pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures, start-up plan and logic sequence
• Demonstrating Quality and Continuous Improvement leadership and promote Aker Solutions\' Quality and Continuous Improvement principles. Ensure that an environment for continuous improvement is established.
• Participate in workshops on design aspects that may assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities;
• Management of commissioning and start-up budget, including forecast for future staffing requirements.
• Building competence in the project organization and identify and develop talents.
• Have financial authority over subcontractor activities associated with pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Interface with Operations Team in commissioning, start-up and final turnover of the facility;
• Ensure that the Scope of Work and contract are understood by the commissioning organization and changes in SoW and contract are approved by Client.
• Assist in Operational Readiness Plan and Project Execution Plan development;
• Approving the monthly project performance report.
• Establish progress reporting systems for all phases of the commissioning and start-up of the facility.

We think you should have:

• Diploma or degree in Engineering; Engineering Technology; or Red Seal Journeyman. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
• Minimum of 10 years related experience, 5 of which must be in a Commissioning Advisor role.
• Offshore O&G experience considered an asset.
