We are seeking professional and passionate

Ontario Certified Teachers (OCTs)

to join our team as

Online Tutors

.
Tutors will work with students virtually, focusing on

homework support, test preparation, and assignment assistance

.

Only applicants who hold

current Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)

certification will be considered for this position.

Applicants with

Intermediate/Senior English

Qualifications and

Primary/Junior Math, Social Studies, English

Qualifications will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one online tutoring sessions using a video conferencing platform of your choice (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams). Assist students with

homework completion, test preparation, and assignment guidance

in alignment with Ontario curriculum standards. Offer academic support that reinforces classroom learning and helps students develop study skills. Communicate student progress and learning updates to parents/guardians on a regular basis. Maintain professionalism and uphold Scholara's standards for effective, supportive instruction.

Qualifications

Active Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT)

in good standing (required). Experience working with students in Grades K-12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable internet connection and comfort using online teaching tools. Ability to commit to a consistent schedule of tutoring sessions.
