Mission Thrift Store St Thomas is a Christian organization dedicated to transforming donated goods into financial support for vital leadership programs across the globe. By operating a thrift store in St. Thomas, we contribute to the mission of the BFM Foundation Canada and Bible League of Canada, impacting lives in over 43 countries.

Summary

Online Supervisor must have strong relational qualities, reflect Christ in his/her behaviour and be vibrant, passionate and have an entrepreneurial spirit. They must understand the needs and wants of a thrift store customer and be able to motivate volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service. They must understand the duties and responsibilities of their job, as outlined below, and work with their direct report and colleagues to maximize the operations of the store. They will build and maintain relationships with other local charities and community organization with whom the Mission Thrift Store partners.

Responsibilities

Primary Activities

- Will act in good faith on behalf of the Assistant Manager/Manager in their absence.

- Provide excellent Customer Service

- Ensuring the Health and Safety of the team

- Assigning and monitoring team and volunteers

- Coaching/Training

- Adherence to polices and procedures

- Selection/posting/overseeing sales VIA shopify

- Working Collaboratively with other departments

Secondary Activities (occasional or infrequent activities and roles)

- Occasionally open and close store

- Daily Devotional/leading morning prayers

- Payment transactions/Deposits

- One on One Growth and development plans

Requirements

Education, experience, skills and attributes

- High school diploma, college university diploma

- The online Supervisor must have proficiency and knowledge in ;

o Extensive knowledge of antiques, collectables, and memorabilia

o Online sales experience

o Customer Service

o Leadership essentials

o Marketing, Social media

- Be honest and trustworthy

- Be respectful

- Be flexible

- Demonstrate sound work ethics

Working Conditions

The online supervisor will be required to work under the following conditions on a regular basis.

- The job preformed indoors in the thrift store retail setting

- Extensive work interfacing with people

- Standing, walking, reaching, bending or squatting on the floor

- Frequent reaching, bending and stretching

- Lifting and carrying goods up to 25lbs., pulling and or pushing up to 25lbs

-Schedule; Monday to Friday 9-5, Occasional Saturdays, Flexibility to open and close

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
