Salary:





$50.07 - $56.75/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional 2% on all regular earnings in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay day.

The University ArtsSciences department is looking to hire one or more individuals to provide instruction for the following

Interprofessional Mental Health and Additions (IMHA) Advanced Certificate

courses:

IMHA 310

- Foundations for Practice (Fall 2025, 96 hours)

IMHA 313

- Interventions (Winter 2026, 96 hours)

Qualifications:

Required:

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a closely related health or human services field. Direct experience working in community mental health and/or addictions field, preferably within BC and with knowledge of local/regional resources. Knowledge of the skills, knowledge and roles/responsibilities required of Community Mental Health Workers in a variety of institutional, residential, and community environments. Experience with learning management systems and instructing online. Commitment to student motivation and achievement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work and contribute positively to the College environment are essential.



Preferred:

PhD in Social Work or Psychology, or a closely related field. The Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or an equivalent credential in adult education, or a readiness to pursue such a credential. Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous students. Experience with Indigenous Communities, Peoples and Culture. Preference will be given to current residents of BC.
