Online Facilitator, Sociology, SOC 216.3 (Fully Online) 
 Primary Purpose: The in the College of Arts and Science and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning invite applications for an Online Facilitator to instruct during Term 2 of the 2025/2026 academic session from January 1, 2026 to April 30, 2026. This is a concurrent appointment for multiple cross-listed online sections of this course. 
 Nature of Work: Reporting to the Department Head of the Department of Sociology, this position is responsible for instructing and facilitating an online distance education class. The online instructor will use web-based course tools to communicate with students, facilitate discussions and accept and grade assignments. Applicants must have above average technical, administrative and pedagogical competencies. The position can exercise some discretion regarding office hours ensuring active participation and timely communication with students and administrators. The online instructor must be committed to online teaching, act professionally, communicate clearly (written and oral) and foster student involvement through activities and discussions that are vibrant and engaging to facilitate positive student outcomes.
