Job Overview
We are seeking an On-Ice Official to join our team. As an On-Ice Official, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and enforcing rules during ice hockey games. This position offers a unique opportunity to be actively involved in the game while upholding sportsmanship and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Officiate ice hockey games, enforcing rules and ensuring player safety
- Make real-time decisions on penalties, goals, and other game-related incidents
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and fellow officials
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the rulebook and apply it consistently
- Uphold fairness and sportsmanship throughout all games
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ice hockey rules and gameplay
- Excellent decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of officials
- Good physical condition to keep up with the fast-paced nature of the game
- Previous experience as an On-Ice Official or playing competitive ice hockey is a plus
