The OneCard team is looking for enthusiastic Ambassadors to support NAIT students during peak periods, including New Student Orientation and Welcome Week for the Fall and Winter terms. As an Ambassador, you will play a key role in distributing OneCards and answering questions about the OneCard and U-Pass programs, all while representing NAIT in a positive, professional manner.If you thrive on interacting with people, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working with technology in a dynamic environment, this casual position could be perfect for you!Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing and approving uploaded photos
  • Facilitate the creation, activation, and distribution of OneCards for students
  • Collaborate with NAITSA and Library Services to ensure efficient and friendly distribution of OneCards and U-Pass
  • Manage queues effectively and with a friendly demeanor
  • Operate OneCard software and printers, replenishing supplies as needed
  • Troubleshoot minor hardware/software issues and escalate concerns as required
  • Provide information and directions to staff, students, and visitors
Skills & Abilities:
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations and as part of a team
  • Capability to learn and adhere to established department guidelines and procedures
Qualifications:
  • MUST be available to work during the peak periods: August 28th - September 4th, 2024, and January 6th - January 10th, 2025. This is a casual role with support required ONLY on these dates. Availability for daytime hours between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm is essential.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment, with a focus on providing an excellent customer experience, is an asset
  • Completion of grade 12 or have an equivalent combination of experience and education
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).Remuneration: $16.34 - $21.69 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of stat holiday and vacation pay.
