We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual for the On-Call Position ECE. This role is essential in providing quality care and education to young children, particularly those with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. As an on-call position, flexibility is key, as you will be called upon to support various classrooms as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and supervision to children in a classroom setting. Implement educational activities that promote learning and development in alignment with early childhood education standards. Assist children with disabilities in their daily routines and learning activities, ensuring their needs are met effectively. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff to create a welcoming environment. Collaborate with other educators and caregivers to develop individualized plans for children's growth and development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements

Valid

BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate

Current

First Aid Certificate

Clear Criminal Record Check

(specific to the child care sector)

Classroom experience

in early childhood settings preferred

Experience working with individuals with disabilities

is highly desirable Demonstrated

teaching skills

with the ability to actively engage and inspire young children

Background in Early Childhood Education or a related field
