On Call Driver

Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a roster of reliable ON-CALL DRIVERS available on an ON-CALL basis.
When a driver is needed, we would call drivers on the list 1 day in advance until we find a driver available to come in on the required date/time/location to perform the required duties.
Some same day driving would be available if a driver is available immediately.
Duties:
- bring company cars from one dealer location to another
- bring a vehicle for a Quebec Safety Inspection to the Certi-Centre in Gatineau
- go to the license bureau to pick-up/drop-off licensing (waiting may be required)
- refueling vehicles
- other duties as required
This casual role would be perfect for retired individuals who are looking for a few hours here and there - or other candidates who are interested in driving a few hours per day, a few days per week. This is not a permanent full-time or permanent part-time position as duties would be performed on and limited to an 'as-needed basis'.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism. The ON-CALL DRIVER will operate various vehicles, including trucks, and may be required to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks.
Requirements:
- must have full license (ON Class G/QC Class 5)
- must be able to drive manual transmission
- must have clean driver's abstract
- must have a cell phone
- English
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 12 per week
Work Location: In person
