Position Summary: The successful applicant will provide leadership to the Peritoneal Dialysis Unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. The role includes the following and not limited to: plan, coordinate and direct patient care activities; act as a resource, mentor and role model for staff members; adapt to changing workloads and competing priorities; actively participate in unit initiatives and committees. The Peritoneal Dialysis Unit is engaged in caring for patients who have selected Peritoneal Dialysis as a renal replacement therapy. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the Nephrologists, the Allied Health team and Nursing team to support the coordination of education, training and monitoring of patients. The successful candidate will incorporate the attitude, values, knowledge and skills required to support clinical needs and independence; introducing the concept of self-management, self-care and promoting a culture of "Home First".
