Job Summary

We are seeking passionate early childhood assistants and educators for our

on call supply

position for our warm and nurturing centers. Must be able to commute to Toronto near High Park.

Must be reliable and dependable.

Please provide at least two professional references.

Must have:

Clear Vulnerable Sector valid within 6 months

Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate

Up to date immunizations

Workers Health and Safety Certificate

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that engage children in learning activities. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and collaboration. Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Assess and monitor children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique learning styles. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes health and safety standards. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.

Experience

Proven experience in caregiving or early childhood education is essential. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and educational best practices. Experience working with children of various ages, particularly in an educational setting. Knowledge of strategies for educating children with disabilities is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues. Candidates should possess a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports the growth of all students.
