As an On Air Presentation Coordinator/Associate Director reporting to the Director of On Air Presentation and Compliance, your role within Rogers will be: Ensuring top quality delivery of Live Events/Shows and making On Air decisions dealing with numerous moving parts both internally and externally to provide the best experience to the Sportsnet viewer. In addition, you will be in a Live Control Room environment timing shows, printing line-ups and creating rundowns for a multitude of shows that Sportsnet produces from Sportsnet Central to Live Hockey games.

What you wil do:

Responsible for smooth commercial integration into live events on all Sportsnet channels

Quick and decisive recovery should an event or feed go down

Ensure log content and break structures are accurate for all channels per event or show

In-depth knowledge of Sportsnet program inventory, inclusive of commercials, sponsorship elements and promos ensuring that all contracts are adhered to within all Sportsnet Properties

Ensure the smooth integration of event and studio elements during live events

Ability and understanding of timing Live and Pre-Recorded shows in a busy Control Room atmosphere

Understanding of programming and the ability to condense shows for repeat airing, tape delays, running delays and tape turnaround

Timing Logistics and Control Room coordination during live events, live studio shows and pre-recorded items

Prepares and maintains show lineups and other required paperwork, prints scripts, screens and times items that are ready for air, noting any necessary information and informing all affected personnel of any changes or revisions

Coordination between Master Control and the Production department

Provides Production support for the show director, producer and editorial staff

Attends production meeting and provides input regarding program and commercial content

This position requires shift work in a 24/7 work environment (shifts are predominately evenings and weekends)

Excellent communication skills, oral and written

Ability to provide clear and concise direction to a variety of personnel in a short period of time

Ability to work well under pressure

Skilled at trouble shooting and setting priorities

Proven editorial and decisions making skills in a high pressure environment

High attention to detail

Knowledge of Excel

Ability to lead a team in the control room and over the telephone
