The Office Manager role requires that an individual be multifaceted as every client and situation is different, but that keeps the role fresh and exciting. This role can lead to even more advancement and training for some who is motivated and eager to learn.
Our Office Managers both directly, and through other tax professionals, look at our client's life through tax and find ways to help! H&R Block has been focused on quality client service for more than five decades and is the largest tax preparer in the industry.
As an Office Manager you are responsible leading your team to ensure that both you and your staff are all preparing complete and accurate tax returns while delivering outstanding client service.
The Tax Professional duties include:
Lead daily activities to ensure that all tax office associates are scheduled, and work is completed according to deadlines, with attention to quality standards, priorities and overall goals
Lead daily huddles and communicate essential information to office associates
Serve as onsite point of contact for tax professionals and clients, ensuring quality and consistent execution that will allow us to promote the value of H&R Block
Work with clients to complete their income tax returns in an efficient and accurate method, providing insightful feedback to clients about their tax situation.
Delivering outstanding client service
Ensuring client confidentiality and privacy
Increasing retention of all clients
Assisting with local marketing and business growth
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
A background in tax preparation and tax knowledge is a necessity. Additional weight would be given to any who has worked for H&R Block in the past, and as such is familiar with many of our systems and procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in person.
Previous experience in a customer service environment or similar role is preferred as client satisfaction is of the utmost importance
Knowledge and experience with a Windows based computer system preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Wages will vary based on experience
