Barrie Hill Farms is currently seeking a Full-time/Seasonal Office Manager / Bookkeeper.
This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting and overseeing all aspects of the business as required. As a front-line employee, you will assist guests and staff in a friendly and efficient manner while ensuring the smooth operation of the farm. Applicants will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a bookkeeping / retail / tourism industry with proven supervisory experience. Additionally, strong verbal and written communications skills are required and Spanish is an asset. You will be expected to work a combination of days, evenings and weekends including holidays.

Office Manager / Bookkeeper Responsibilities
As the key position to management, you are expected to assist all teams in all aspects of the farm operations through the following responsibilities:
Assist the Owner in administration of General Farm Office
Assist in HR record keeping and training records of both Migrant Workers and Canadian seasonal employees
Participate in and track all payroll records for all employees using both internal and third-party vendor software.
Onboarding / Offboarding of seasonal Migrant Workers and Canadian employees including participate in the development and implantation of seasonal training.
Regulatory reporting for EHT, WSIB and CRA
Establish, track and monitor all cash procedures
Familiarization with all time and attendance systems for migrant production and Canadian payroll. Process biweekly and monthly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees including T4's.
Reporting internally and externally as required
Posting of all accounting entries into Farm Specific Accounting Software AgExpert by FCC and update tracking sheets or spreadsheets as required including Sales, Purchases, and Payments, (Receivables and payables)
Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring, and enforcing all farm policy and procedures
Respond to customer phone inquiries and email messages.
Ongoing troubleshooting and problem solving
Maintain requirements for accreditation and audits by establishing a system to monitor entities (staff and facilities) in need of licensing, credentials, and re-certification to ensure regulatory compliance and continuity of services
Manage all records for maintaining vehicle fleet licensing and maintenance records. Asset management
Assist Food Services Manager, Market Manager, and General Manager as needed
