We're looking for an AWESOME Office Manager to join our growing team. Is that YOU?
This is a FT position, working out of our Kanata office. We require someone with very strong bookkeeping skills who is able to work independently and manage the day-to-day administrative functions of our company. This position is covering an 18-month maternity leave, with an expectation that employment will continue at the end of this term.
Duties
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Accounting Manager and President of the Company, including answering emails and phone calls, monthly/daily invoicing and A/R, entering and running customer payments, keeping track of vendor bills and payments, filing, keeping laptops and technology updated, and maintaining adequate office supplies
Support timely completion of client bookkeeping, under the direction of the Not-For-Profit Team Lead
Ensure the administrative efficiency and continuity of the business, while taking care of any client needs and concerns
Coordinate, prepare, edit and proofread documents such as correspondence, presentations, marketing materials, and reports
Create content with the social media team using ChatGPT, Canva, CapCut and SketchWow to create multimedia designs for our various social media pages, and manage a monthly planning calendar for posts
Manage the company website through Wordpress
Carry out additional projects as needed, such as: management of annual Letters of Engagement, marketing campaigns and business development projects
Attributes of a "Perfect Fit"
College Diploma in Business Accounting, and/or Business Administration
Very strong accounting knowledge (3+ years experience)
Exceptional communication skills in English
Enjoys a fast-paced and changing work environment, using good judgement and common sense
Ability to develop and maintain great relationships with clients
Ability to effectively plan, organize and control work
Comfortable functioning with a high degree of autonomy over work
Finely-tuned time management and organization skills
Loyalty and the ability to "think like an owner"

Great attitude and plays well with others
Very strong Quickbooks and Excel skills
Nice To Have but Can be Taught
Experience working in an accounting/bookkeeping firm, or in a multi-client environment
Experience using Canva, Wordpress, ChatGPT, CapCut, SketchWow and Facebook Business Suite
Knowledge of special requirements applying to bookkeeping for Not for Profit organizations
Good To Know
Overtime (over 44 hours/week) is very rare, even during tax season

Salary Info
Base pay $28-$32 per hour, depending on experience
