The North Dundas Medical Clinic is a group practice of 4 family medicine practices and 2 general surgeons. We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on
Working Manager
to lead and support our administrative team. This includes direct supervision of up to 12 employees and managing all aspects of human resources within the clinic. In addition to overseeing administrative workflows and team performance, the
Working Manager
will be expected to train in all front and back office administrative roles and be capable of stepping into any position as needed. This ensures smooth clinic operations, consistent patient care, and strong team support.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage daily clinic operations to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction
Human resources
Supervising up to 12 employees
Information technology
Finances
Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions
Coordinate schedules, coverage, and staffing to meet clinic needs
Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
Serve as a liaison between staff and physician group
Learn and master all clinic administrative roles, including:
o Patient check-in/check-out
o Appointment scheduling
o Medical records management
o Front desk and phone operations
o Surgeon workflows
Provide direct support in any administrative role as needed to maintain workflow
Train new administrative team members and provide ongoing development
Qualifications:
Previous experience supervising or managing a team
Previous HR experience and/or training
General understanding of labor law in Ontario
Demonstrated proficiency in small business management
Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
Intermediate or advanced digital competencies
Exceptional communication skills
Assets:
Previous experience in a related field (medical, dental, veterinary)
Ability to speak and write in French
Previous experience in quality management or quality improvement
Knowledge of universal medical insurance billing, such as OHIP
Familiarity with electronic medical records
Diploma or degree in commerce or human resources management
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $34.20-$39.24 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
