Job Overview


New Hope Community Church is seeking an organized, proactive, and friendly Office Coordinator to manage daily administrative operations and serve as the primary point of contact for our church office. The ideal candidate will align with New Hope's mission and core values, demonstrate strong communication and time-management skills, and thrive in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.

Duties



Serve as the primary office contact: answer phones, greet visitors, handle counter inquiries, process mail/email, and schedule room bookings/rentals. Maintain church database (Servant Keeper): update member directory, attendance, giving records, course participation, and Constant Contact lists; transfer data from Canada Helps as needed. Coordinate key life events: water baptisms, baby dedications, marriages, and funerals (including certificates, registry updates, and staff coordination). Prepare weekly Sunday needs: organize communion, welcome packs, information centre support, and welcome calls to guests. Manage office operations: order supplies (office, kitchen, washroom), maintain equipment (printers, copiers, A/V basics), track petty cash, and reconcile credit card invoices. Provide administrative support for adult ministries and LifeGroups: coordinate schedules, registrations (e.g., GriefShare, DivorceCare), room setups, communications to leaders, and order materials (textbooks, DVDs, coffee supplies). Assist with printed materials, website/social media updates (in collaboration with Tech Director), and general filing/correspondence. Support volunteer coordination and church-wide events (e.g., BBQs, welcome processes). Be an active, positive participant in the life of the congregation.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
