Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the store.

Duties



Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow Support sales initiatives through effective merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities Supervise and motivate team members, overseeing recruiting, training & development, and performance evaluations Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy Oversee cash handling, cashiering, POS transactions, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy Manage inventory purchasing, stock replenishment, and merchandising displays to maximize sales potential Coordinate marketing efforts to attract new customers and retain existing clientele Assist in budgeting, sales management, and implementing store policies to meet business objectives Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new staff members Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures

Qualifications



Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership skills Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing, and sales management principles Experience in recruiting, training & development, team management, and supervising staff Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and customers alike Competence in budgeting, payroll processing, and financial recordkeeping Demonstrated customer service excellence and phone etiquette skills A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills and attention to detail This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking growth opportunities within retail management. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.80-$27.04 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
