(detailed information of what work the employee will be doing is required):

Organizing the Disability & Law Initiative and events for 2023-2024; under the direction of the Centre Director, conceiving of series theme and approach for one year; drafting and circulating concept note; collaborating on program communications, posters, publicity, social media; updating web content and readings, as appropriate; compiling program materials; inviting, confirming, and liaising with panelists, moderators, and event team; collaborating with Centre Program Coordinator on all program and event logistics and handling event-day organization and logistics; providing support for audio-visual and online presentations; other related duties

The approximate commitment is a few hours per week for one academic year. More hours may be required during peak periods.

Position Summary:

Must have a sustained and robust interest in the rights of persons with disabilities. Reliable and engaged team-player; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; proactive, clear, and coherent planning skills; strong communication skills; attention to detail.

English, fluently written and spoken. French, written and spoken, preferred.

Preference will be given to current McGill Law students.

Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience

Hourly Salary: (AMUSE C) $17.00

Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week: 10 (Part time)

Position Start Date: 2023-08-14

Position End Date: 2024-04-30
