*This is a 3 Month Temporary Position*

The Office Assistant will assist the Certificate in Applied Psychology (CiAP) Coordinator by undertaking outreach activities to find student volunteer placement opportunities, foster relationships with potential partners, and raise awareness about the Certificate. Additionally, the Office Assistant will help develop the plan to evaluate the CiAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Update the list of potential volunteer placements
  • Send emails to organizations and professionals to raise awareness about the CiAP and seek student volunteer placements
  • Keep track of correspondence
  • Arrange (and attend) meetings (as needed)
  • Update and maintain the social media accounts
  • Look for other opportunities to promote the CiAP in and outside the University
  • Participate in developing the plan to evaluate the Certificate in Applied Psychology
  • Assist in reporting on the success of these initiatives
Qualifications:
  • An interest in and knowledge of the CiAP
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Team player
  • Takes initiative and receptive to feedback
  • Experience in creating content for social media
  • Experience creating posters and infographics is an asset
  • An interest in evaluation is an asset
An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.
