Job Description


Are you an administrative professional looking for a dynamic and growing organization that will both challenge and reward you? We are looking for an Office Assistant to provide back-up and accounting-related support at one of our Sun RV Resorts.

OVERVIEW

As an Office Assistant, you\'ll be responsible for performing basic administrative duties such as filing, opening and sorting mail, making copies, and focusing on accounting-related tasks including cash handling, cash reconciliations, and invoice coding. You\'ll also assist with miscellaneous projects at the resort and will serve as the main point of contact with the Regional Accountant at the Main Office.

JOB DUTIES * Complete various accounting-related tasks such as monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries, and formatting delinquency and other reports.

  • Complete resort bank deposits and cashier check runs as requested; ensure to obtain a validated receipt and attach to deposit slip.
  • Handle all cash from store, restaurant, ticket sales, etc.
  • Maintain petty cash fund, ensuring to record expenditure in the proper accounts.
  • Perform general administrative support functions such as typing, copying, opening and sorting mail, labeling files and sending FedEx packages on a timely basis, as requested.
  • Sort requested documents (i.e. invoices, deposit tickets/journals, bank confirmations, etc.).
  • Complete and maintain filing and folders for all paid invoices; pull checks as requested and file when completed.
  • Assist with entry of invoices for processing, stuffing and mailing checks, and run tally tapes of utility bills.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining an adequate inventory of office supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year administrative experience; prior accounting-related experience, preferred
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email and internet
