TITLE
: OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR - CONTRACT POSITION
LOCATION
: In- Person Role (non-negotiable). The Vancouver Sun Run Office - Royal Centre, Downtown Vancouver
REPORTS TO
: Operations & Marketing Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
Help communicate all key event info to race participants. Support the Team Coordinator in liaising with team captains and fulfill team category race needs. Assist the Operations & Marketing Manager with day-to-day functions of the office and event.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Assist with phone inquiries and respond to emails with race information
? Help manage, organize, and maintain the Vancouver Sun Run registrations
? Help research and solicit prospective new participants especially for Team Categories
? Support Team Coordinator with tasks with the Team Programs
? Help manage the Volunteer Program, Charity Program and Virtual Program, as needed
? Support other office staff and event needs as required by Operations & Marketing Manager
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent customer service skills. Computer - must have working knowledge of Office (particularly Excel and Word). Great problem solver and advanced ability to multitask. Quick learner and good under pressure. Must have 3+yrs of customer service, office administration and/or marketing experience.
PERSONALITY:
Friendly, very reliable and most importantly a helpful and positive team-player. Self-driven and very detail oriented. Must also be very organized and works well under pressure.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Seasonal Contract date: Jan 5 - Apr 23, 2026
. 2 Week Probationary period from Jan 5-16, 2026. Seasonal contract position with pay rate of $23 per hour. Contractor responsible for filing taxes with CRA. Must work in person at our downtown office and offsite locations (non-negotiable).
Workdays: (5) days per week, Monday to Friday from 8:45am-4:15pm starting January 5, 2026. Mandatory additional 2026 workdays on the following dates (hours tbd): March 7 may possibly be needed pending team status; March 22, March 29 and April 5 full days offsite at the printer house in Burnaby; and April 10 evening. Must also be able to work long hours as needed during Race Week (April 13-17), Race Weekend (April 18 & 19) and Race Wrap Up (April 20-23).
