Position will be based in Oakville with frequent travel to our Brampton clinic.

Prism Eye Institute (PEI) has been serving the communities of North York, Brampton, Oakville/Mississauga and surrounding areas for over 50 years.

In 2020 North Toronto Eye Care (NTEC) merged with Prism Eye Institute, to form Prism Group Holdings (Prism) and the largest Ophthalmology practice in Canada.

In 2022, PEI further strengthened a partnership with Vision Group Canada (VGC) and is working to expand its footprint nationally. VGC operates over 50 clinics and 70 surgical facilities performing over 100,000 procedures annually.

PEI is an internationally renowned institute with 5 facilities and 2 surgical centres, serving over 200,000 patients and perform 10,000 surgeries each year. Tasks:

Counseling patients on dry eye treatments Performing dry eye treatments (ZEST, Radio-frequency, Lipiflow, Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) Assisting the doctor in treatments (IPL, Dilation and Irrigation, Intraductal Probing) Being attentive and aware of patient's and doctor's needs in the treatment room Troubleshooting equipment Cleaning and sterilizing instruments Preparing patient charts Confirming patient appointments and ensuring all necessary documents are completed Pretesting patients Conducting slit lamp examinations and measuring intraocular eye pressure checks Performing various diagnostic tests on the Oculus Keratograph and IOL Master, knowledge on using the Auto-refractor and Lensometer Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation is recorded in the electronic medical record (EMR), patient logs, and office communications.

What You Bring:

College diploma in ophthalmology/health care industry preferred. 1-2 years' practical experience within a medical/ophthalmology clinical office environment preferred. Resourcefulness and a strong attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills. Proficiency in using software and computers. Flourishing in fast-paced environments. An ability to adapt quickly to changes.
