Leadership & Team Development



Partner with the Store Manager to lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to ensure staff have the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional customer experience and achieve sales goals. Conduct quarterly staff evaluations and mid-year reviews to support growth and development. Promote a positive team culture that encourages creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Sales & Performance Management



Support the Store Manager in evaluating sales performance, labor, and inventory turnover to achieve monthly and quarterly goals. Monitor, coach, and guide the team to meet Red Wing corporate KPIs:

40% Maintain current knowledge of product, market, and sales trends to identify opportunities for growth.

Customer Experience



Ensure every customer receives Red Wing's legendary "Ultimate Fit Experience." Provide personalized service including fitting, product education, and after-sale care. Offer shoe cleaning and conditioning services, minor repairs, and coordinate warranty work with local partners. Build and cultivate long-term customer relationships that foster loyalty and repeat business. Addressing customer feedback and resolve concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Operations & Merchandising



Support daily operations including scheduling, cash handling, and inventory control. Maintain inventory accuracy through effective receiving, stock management, and quarterly counts. Lead seasonal and monthly merchandising updates to reflect company standards. Engage in local marketing efforts, community partnerships, and in-store events to drive traffic and brand awareness. Ensure compliance with all Red Wing standards, policies, and operational initiatives.

Qualifications



Minimum

1 year of leadership experience

, including training and mentoring team members. Proven

customer service and retail sales

experience, ideally in footwear or apparel. Strong

communication, organization, and coaching

skills. Confident and skilled in

building relationships and influencing outcomes

. Motivated, energetic, and passionate about helping customers find the right fit -- and the right boots. Takes initiative, completes tasks independently, and shows eagerness to learn and grow. Enjoy working as part of a

collaborative, positive, and inclusive

team environment. Flexible availability, including

weekends and variable schedules

. Comfortable using

Excel, Word, Outlook, and POS systems

.

High school diploma or GED required;

additional retail or business training is an asset. Previous

footwear retail or wholesale

experience preferred.

Physical Demands



Lifting 50 pounds Climbing an 8ft ladder Bending/stooping/kneeling required Routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours) Store maintenance duties including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning windows and setting up and maintaining displays.
