Position Type:

Temporary (1.0 FTE)

Hours of Work:

8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Position Summary:

Assist in scheduling, preparing and implementing therapeutic programs which support Intercare's philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of the customers, as directed. Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance. Documents care, programs and interactions as required on the resident's health care record. Participate in outings and other special events. Demonstrate respect to all customers, by working with them in a calm, courteous manner..

Qualifications:

Brings a caring, compassionate and empathetic approach.

Minimum of two years therapy assistant or related field experience in a continuing care setting.

Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have a therapy aide certificate from a recognized program.
