Position Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and creative Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team and provide in-person therapy to children and youth with diverse developmental needs. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver individualized therapy sessions under OT supervision and to support and help expand our group therapy services. We welcome applications from qualified OTAs, students pursuing OT studies, or anyone with hands-on pediatric experience. Evening availability is required.
Requirements
1-2 years' experience in an OTA role or relevant support position
Experience supporting children, youth, and families
Passion for helping children and youth thrive
Availability to work evening hours (required)
Bilingual (preferred)
Flexible, creative, and self-directed
Current Vulnerable Sector Check and First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Driver's license and access to vehicle (preferred)
Responsibilities
Deliver individualized therapy sessions under the guidance of Occupational Therapists, supporting children and youth with diverse developmental needs, monitoring progress, and sharing observations
Facilitate group therapy sessions designed to build daily living skills, confidence, and functional independence
Prepare therapy spaces and materials to ensure sessions run smoothly and efficiently
Keep therapy areas, equipment, and supplies organized, clean, and ready for use
Support families and caregivers in reinforcing therapy strategies as directed by the supervising OT, helping children practice skills at home and in daily routines
Maintain accurate and organized session documentation in line with clinic standards
Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic by helping with organization, restocking, and maintaining a welcoming environment
