We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services to patients across various settings, including hospitals and outpatient clinics. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs through detailed evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and medical conditions.
Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving daily living skills, motor functions, and overall well-being.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
Document patient progress accurately in medical records and communicate findings with the care team.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures for continued progress at home.
Manage case documentation and participate in multidisciplinary case management meetings.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and hospital policies.
Skills
Proven experience working in hospital settings, preferably with pediatric or acute care populations.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice.
Experience in case management and patient care coordination.
Ability to work effectively with diverse patient groups, including pediatrics.
Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Ability to adapt therapy techniques based on individual patient needs and medical conditions.
