We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will evaluate, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, mainly in home environment. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care that promotes recovery and functional improvement.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine their needs and treatment goals.
Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient evaluations, medical history, and functional goals.
Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving fine motor skills, coordination, daily living activities, and overall independence.
Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures for continued progress outside clinical settings.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards in all patient records.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.
Requirements
Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
Prior experience in hospital settings or acute care environments is highly preferred.
Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and case management principles.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient needs.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
Familiarity with occupational therapy techniques for both pediatric and adult patients.
