In the heart of the Canadian Badlands in Southern Alberta, the Drumheller Valley offers visitors a unique combination of spectacular scenery and interesting things to do - think Jurassic Park! Rolling fields suddenly give way to steep, dry coulees ridged with the strata of hundreds of years of erosion by time, wind and water. Through it all, the tranquil Red Deer River gently makes its way through parkland and a myriad of recreational opportunities. Drumheller is rich with facilities: The Aquaplex, with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, steam room, etc, the Memorial Arena where you can take skating lessons or take in a game of hockey, and the Badlands Community Facility; a modern banquet hall which houses a state-of-the art fitness and recreation centre as well as vibrant and create arts and culture venues. Come to Drumheller - there is nowhere quite like it in Alberta!
