About the Opportunity
Under the direction of the Care Coordination Manager, Continuing Care, the Occupational Therapist provides consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity and leisure for clients in the community throughout Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health. The objectives of treatment are to facilitate, restore and/or maintain clients\' optimal level of function. The Occupational Therapist provides intervention to address clients\' occupational performance components (physical, cognitive and/or affective). The Occupational Therapist provides education and support to clients, families and caregivers. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required. The Occupational Therapist is a member of the Community Occupational Therapy - Physiotherapy Team and liaises with Continuing Care, multidisciplinary hospital care teams and community agencies and service providers.
