We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, develop individualized treatment plans, and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities
Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs to develop personalized therapy plans
Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and independence
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes
Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and medical terminology
Experience
Prior hospital experience is highly preferred, especially within acute care settings
Experience with case management and coordinating patient services is advantageous
Background working with pediatric populations is a plus, demonstrating versatility across age groups
Proven patient care experience, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices is essential
Previous work in acute care environments will be considered an asset for this role
