Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing therapeutic services to individuals across various settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. This role involves working closely with patients to enhance their ability to perform daily activities and improve their overall quality of life.

Duties



Assess and evaluate patients' needs through comprehensive evaluations and observations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patient goals and needs. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective discharge planning and case management. Provide therapy services for diverse populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism. Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology in patient care. Conduct early intervention strategies for children and adults in need of occupational health support. Document patient progress accurately in compliance with regulatory standards. Engage in outpatient therapy sessions as well as home health visits when necessary. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications



Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Experience in various settings such as inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, acute care, or outpatient clinics is preferred. Knowledge of speech therapy techniques is a plus. Familiarity with case management processes and discharge planning is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on enhancing quality of life.
