Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in hospital and acute care settings. This role involves working with patients of various ages, including pediatrics, to help them achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their quality of life. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.

Duties



Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to determine appropriate therapy interventions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily activities and enhance their overall functional independence. Educate patients and their families about treatment options, home exercises, and adaptive techniques to support ongoing recovery. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with medical standards and regulations. Participate in case management activities to coordinate care across various healthcare providers and settings. Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and medical terminology relevant to patient care.

Requirements



A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life. Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
