Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityUnder the direction of the Program Manager, the Occupational Therapist provides consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-up of referred clients of the Driver Evaluation Program of the Assistive Technology Department. This is a highly specialized clinical role helping patients and families understand a clients ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Assessments include a clinical evaluation including a physical assessment, evaluation of visual and cognitive skills and assessment for specialized driving equipment as well as an on-road driving evaluation in a modified vehicle and trial of adaptive equipment, as appropriate. The Occupational Therapist provides counselling, education and support to clients, families and caregivers.
