Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Position Summary
RMH is seeking a temporary full-time Occupational Health Nurse. As part of the Human Resources team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of Occupational Health Services including baseline health assessments, health surveillance in accordance with the OHA/OMA Communicable Disease Protocols, and annual influenza immunization program.
This is a non-union position.

Essential Qualifications
Current registration and member in good standing with the College of Nurses Ontario
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred or minimum five (5) years of experience as an Occupational Health Nurse - experience in the Health Care sector is an asset
Current CPR certification
Five (5) years of experience as an Occupational Health Nurse preferably in a hospital setting
Demonstrated knowledge of employee safety systems including inflection control and disaster planning
Demonstrated experience developing policies related to Occupational Health
Demonstrated knowledge of the OHSA, WHMIS/GHS, Human Rights Code of Ontario
Demonstrated knowledge of disability/ability/ Return to Work management principles and practice
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, physicians, management, and community agencies
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office and Parklane
Demonstrated ongoing commitment to education and development for personal growth
Demonstrated communication, organizational, and time management skills
Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

Must be able to work eight (8) hour shifts Monday to Friday.
