Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Engage customers in a polite and friendly manner, providing exceptional service at all times
Provide expert nutritional advice and inform customers about current wellness trends, products, and services
Manage the daily operations of the wellness/nutrition department, ensuring high standards of customer service and product presentation
Lead, motivate, and coach staff to achieve departmental goals and deliver excellent customer experiences
Train and develop team members, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills required to serve customers effectively
Create work schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor productivity to ensure smooth department operations
Build and maintain merchandising displays for current store programs and promotions
Rotate product, face shelves, and date check product to ensure freshness and quality
Ensure that prices are accurate and up to date
Keep the stock room/warehouse area clean and organized
Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional, solution-focused manner
Follow safety policies and regulations and ensure team compliance
Provide a safe and clean store environment to protect both staff and customers
Stay up to date on trending health issues, nutrition information, and new products/supplies
Collaborate with other department managers to support store-wide goals and initiatives
Conduct regular team meetings to provide updates, share feedback, and reinforce company values
Address and resolve employee concerns in a fair and professional manner
To perform other duties and tasks assigned or required as consistent with the nature and scope of the position
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
Previous
wellness/nutritionist experience
in a professional setting
is required
Education and certification in Holistic Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is required
Previous managerial or supervisory experience in a wellness or nutrition-focused role is preferred
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop staff
Superb customer service skills with a passion for health and wellness
Above average communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
Flexible schedule - availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to follow established company policy and ensure staff compliance
Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
Willingness to relocate/move to Squamish is required
