The Body Engineers is a private training studio in Toronto where science meets real results. We focus on one-on-one and small group sessions in a welcoming, supportive space. Our team combines expertise in fitness, nutrition, and Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) to help people move better, feel better, and perform at their best.
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled individual with a unique combination of expertise in nutrition planning, Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT), personal training, and facility management. The successful candidate will work with a diverse clientele, helping them achieve their health and fitness goals through comprehensive assessments, customized programs, and hands-on coaching.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' nutritional habits and fitness goals
Develop individualized, evidence-based meal and nutrition plans
Provide one-on-one dietary counseling and healthy eating education
Perform detailed movement and posture assessments
Create structured, trackable, periodized fitness programs
Lead personal and partner training sessions
Deliver MAT sessions and/or similar neuromuscular optimization techniques
Aid clients in rehabilitation and injury prevention while focusing on body composition goals
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate exercise into treatment plans
Conduct small-group classes (max 10 participants) using structured formats
Manage and support gym operations, including trainer oversight and sales consultations
Follow and promote The Body Engineers' core training principles
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in nutrition science (required)
Degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science (required)
Minimum 6-8 years' experience in personal training (required)
Certified Personal Trainer (required)
MAT Specialist certification or equivalent (strongly preferred)
Additional certifications such as Poliquin PICP Levels 1-4 or RTS Mastery (asset)
Proven success in delivering measurable body composition results
Exceptional understanding of anatomy, physiology, and advanced programming techniques
Experience managing or assisting with gym or training team operations (highly desirable)
Sales experience (asset)
