Job Description
Westmount One is a seniors' residence in the Westmount/Cote-Saint-Luc area. We have autonomous and semi-autonomous (assisted living) residents. The position involves supervising nursing staff, overseeing resident care plans, ensuring quality and safety, managing resources, and communicating with healthcare teams and upper management.
Key responsibilities
include assessing resident needs, developing treatment plans, maintaining resident records, providing resident and staff education, and coordinating with various healthcare services and specialists to provide comprehensive, high-quality resident care.Staff Supervision & Management
: Oversee the work of nursing personnel, manage scheduling, participate in hiring and evaluations, and ensure staff compliance with procedures.Resident Care Oversight
: Assess resident needs, develop and implement resident care and treatment plans, and monitor residents.Quality Assurance
: Ensure that quality nursing care is provided, adhering to administrative procedures and resident privacy regulations.Resource Management
: Manage the nursing unit budget, ensure the availability of necessary products and equipment, and optimize resident care while considering costs.Communication & Coordination
: Serve as a primary communicator between the nursing staff, physicians, interdisciplinary/hospital/CLSC teams, residents and their families and the other departments of the residence.Staff Education
: Provide staff with information about the residents' conditions and treatments, and offer advice and training to nursing staff.Required Qualifications
Education
: Requires a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) ?Licensure
: Must be a certified Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).Skills
: Strong leadership, excellent communication, management, and computer skills are essential.Bilingual (English-French)
