Function as the primary healthcare provider for patients receiving transitional care.
Independently diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures.
Provide on-site clinical leadership, including supervision of staff during shifts.
Collaborate closely with restorative health professionals, allied health staff, and nursing teams to deliver comprehensive care.
Qualifications
Education:
Master's Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner Certification.
Licensing:
Eligibility for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience (acute care or rehabilitative care preferred, but not required).
Work Style:
Comfortable in a hands-on role (not virtual-only).
Exclusions:
Pediatric NP backgrounds cannot be considered due to licensing restrictions.
