Main Mandate:





The hormone therapy nurse provides clinical care to individuals undergoing hormone therapy, particularly in the context of gender transition, menopause, or endocrine disorders. She works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, accessible, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:




Assess patients' health status and establish diagnoses within the scope of professional practice. Prescribe and adjust hormone treatments according to current protocols. Provide clinical follow-up for patients undergoing hormone therapy. Collaborate with physicians and specialists on complex cases or those outside the scope of practice. Participate in the development and evaluation of clinical protocols related to hormone therapy. Inform and support patients regarding their treatment and its side effects. Contribute to continuing education for nursing staff and to clinical research, according to the needs.

Requirements:




Be a member in good standing of the OIIQ (Ordre des infirmieres et infirmiers du Quebec). Quebec). Hold a graduate degree in nursing - primary care Be a registered nurse practitioner in primary care Experience or specific training in hormone therapy. Excellent communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
