Your Opportunity:Come and be part of our Nurse Practitioner multidisciplinary team for the Gastroenterology Clinic (GI) as we continue to build on the foundation of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Liver programs at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. This NP role opportunity will provide support to our GI patients in hospital and the community. This NP role works to full scope and will provide guidance, leadership and participation in program development and quality improvement. This position will be based out of Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre with an expectation of supporting chronic GI and liver disease patients across the zone. Hours of work are fulltime and may vary with clinical operations.Description:As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Required Qualifications:Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master\'s degree. Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Master of Science in Nursing Degree supplemented by completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner Program. Active registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). The NP is responsible for ensuring that his/her registration is current, valid and entered on the NP Roster of the CARNA under the Health Professions Act.
