Are you looking to show your expertise and take a lead role in the development and delivery of oncology care to patients in Alberta? You will be an integral member of our healthcare team working within a multidisciplinary and fast paced environment that prioritizes patient and family centered cancer care. In this clinical focused position, you will work collaboratively with all members of the health care team to coordinate the treatment and management of adult oncology patients. This includes ordering & interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmaceuticals, blood and blood products and diagnostic imaging agents, ordering medical devices and other therapies, and performing procedures, interventions and/or treatments. The NP will require in-depth knowledge of adult acute and chronic illness that will be used to deliver oncology care across multiple tumor groups. The NP provides leadership and focuses on improving outcomes and quality of care by advancing nursing and interdisciplinary practice in oncology care with advanced and evidence-based practice. The NP, in consultation with interdisciplinary team members, will take a lead role in developing frameworks and strategies to facilitate the implementation of best practices in oncology. The NP requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships with all members of the interdisciplinary team. You will demonstrate proven skills in the areas of organization, critical thinking, conflict resolution, advanced problem solving, interdisciplinary leadership and change management. The successful NP will bring a core passion for caring for patients and their families. Please note this position is eligible for relocation reimbursement in alignment with organizational policy.

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
